Shopping Local in My Royal Borough
This is part three in our three part-series on shopping in My Royal Borough.
Farmers' Markets
If you’re on the foodie trail, head to Windsor Farmers' Market on St Leonard’s Road (first Saturday of the month).
You can browse stalls selling seasonal fruit and veg, as well as meat, fish, game and specialist breads and cakes.
Maidenhead Farmers' Market pops up on the second Sunday of the month in Grove Road car park and Ascot Farmers' Market takes place on the third Sunday of the month in Ascot Racecourse's car park 3.
Extend your Stay
Finally, if you are planning to visit Windsor and Maidenhead for a bit of retail therapy, why not turn it into a short break or weekend break? Shopping can be exhausting; why not inject a bit of culture and history into your visit?
To get you started, first check out these accommodation pages which have more information on a wide range of quality hotels, bed and breakfasts and self catering properties.
And whilst you plan your next shopping break in Windsor and Maidenhead, why not incorporate a bit of fun into it by visiting our many things to do and attractions such as Legoland and Dorney Court? Here is a recent family’s experience at Legoland Windsor, which in mum’s words, “restored their sense of adventure”.
If you plan on going “out-out” during your stay, or if you’re a local yourself and would like to add to this list, let us know what you think of these Pubs and Bars and Nightlife in the Royal Borough pages.
Whether it’s booking that celebration meal that’s been on hold, buying something for the home you’ve not seen anywhere else, sourcing that special post-lockdown bottle from your local wine shop or simply treating yourself to a coffee and slice of something nice from an independent cafe, every purchase makes a difference to our local businesses.
Stay safe and shop local. You’ll be glad you did, and so will we.
