21 Gun Salute - Friday 14th November
💣 Children of the Royal Borough are invited to help wish His Majesty The King a happy birthday, by taking part in the traditional 21-gun salute outside Windsor Castle, on Friday 14 November 2025.
The council will be celebrating His Majesty’s 77th birthday at noon, with the annual firing of 21 mini cannons on The Long Walk by Cambridge Gate (access via Park Street) with the special tribute led by the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead.
This year, one of the cannons will be fired by a 100-year-old resident of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. A handful of lucky children attending the ceremony will be chosen at random to fire one of the remaining cannons, under the safe supervision of an ordnance expert.
➡️ Children wishing to participate should get there in plenty of time!
💜 This is a longstanding Windsor tradition and we’re once again excited to be firing the cannons for the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III.
