International Men’s Day, Tuesday 19th November
International Men's Day is on Tuesday 19th November and we are delighted to invite you to our special MyRoyalBorough Men's Business Networking Event. This event is for men only this time - following the success of our highly acclaimed International Women's Day event, back in March.
Every year, International Men’s Day in the UK is marked by more and more organisations across the country. Across November there are Parliamentary debates, policy launches, employer days, community events, health days, business events, staff support days, debates, student events, political events, lectures, gigs, charity promotion days, book launches, comedy nights, award announcements and charity fundraisers – the most anywhere in the world.
The three core themes for International Men’s Day in the UK are:
Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys
Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing
Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity
The brilliant team at Windsor & Eton Brewery will be hosting our event, as we celebrate and recognise some of the brilliant men in our Royal Borough.
The event will start at 10am, on Tuesday 19th November and there will be:
Inspirational Special Guest Speakers, from experts in the fields of hospitality, sport, charity, business and mental health.
Business Networking - so bring with you, your business cards, QR codes, leaflets and any others goodies you wish to share with others.
Free Brewery mini tours - enjoy a behind the scenes, sneak peak into the workings of the Brewery, with host Wild Willie.
Art and Music - from local male artists.
The event is free, but you will need to register a place using the link below. On the day we will be raising money for Prostate Cancer UK and Andy's Man Club - two worthy causes that you'll hear more about on the day, and which we encourage you to support, with a minimum £10 donation.
Andy's Man Club are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. They want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK.
Prostate Cancer UK are working to supporting our dads, brothers, partners and friends by raising awareness, funding lifechanging research, campaigning for change and providing much needed support. 1 in 8 men get prostate cancer.
Why not stay and enjoy lunch and a drink with friends or business colleagues - with delicious food offerings from John and the team at Test Kitchen.
